We are delighted to be taking part in Pendleside Hospice’s first ever Corporate Challenge. The concept of the Corporate Challenge is simple; Pendleside Hospice has given us £50 and asked us to turn it into as much as we can within a four-month period (1st June-30th September). Charter Walk Shopping Centre has kindly sponsored the initiative which has provided each business with the starting budget.
We have already put together some fantastic fundraising plans, starting with the usual cake sale (because who doesn’t like cake?) and building up to some really exciting events over the coming weeks and months, as well as squeezing in lots of other bits along the way.
The competition is on as we’re up against some of Burnley’s largest and most well-known businesses, including Protec, Buoyant Upholstery, Boohoo, Burnley Council (Liberata), Petty Estate Agents, Tesco (Burnley), Azzurri, Marsden Building Society, Padiham Glass, Slimming World, Clearly Interiors, Toms Stationers, Handelsbanken, Wellness Catalyst, Hays Recruitment, Haslingden District Nursing Team, West Craven Insurance Services, PM&M Accountants, Smart Price Home Store, and Kirk Environmental.
Pendleside Hospice will be holding an awards event in October to celebrate the end of the challenge, where the winners in the various categories will be announced, such as Overall Winner, Most Raised by an Individual and Most Innovative Fundraising Idea.
