The event, which was attended by around 50 businessmen and women from across Lancashire, began with a complimentary lunch and networking opportunity.
After a short welcome by Dave, MD of +24 Marketing, Sam entered the room to applause and whooping.
During his presentation, Sam spoke about the founder of content marketing – John Deere.
He also spoke about the need to add value rather than simply pushing out sales messages. By giving helpful advice to would-be clients you are gaining their trust and building a reputation. Sales are a positive by-product.
Sam also spoke about how vital it was to build and maintain momentum when it comes to content marketing – especially on social media. Commit to a project and continue to deliver results. This simple statement should be followed throughout business.
After a short break – here +24’s Phil restocked his plate – Dave went against the norm and told people to get their phones OUT and encouraged them to tweet and post during his presentation. Now that’s something you don’t hear every day!
Dave spoke about the importance of relationships in the business world. In 99% of situations, people buy off people. By building connections, developing relationships, creating engagement and earning the trust you will gain more business, grow a bigger network, have more referrals and a great reputation.
